Default Goals revised

Having a clearly defined goal is a great concept in the areas where agoal is definable.

If you want a car or a house, $1,000,00o in the bank, write a book and so on - clear understanding of what you want works just great.

It worked many times in my life and I love the concept.

But - there are cases where the goal is actually a process and the only thing you can do is stick to that process.

Here is an example - a life of a real musician. You have to practice because you know you have to practice to get better every day.

If you want to sell millions of CD's, it isn't a music goal, it is a business goal.

If you want to win a competition - it is a business goal. There are many great musicians that never won any competition (and , anyway competitions in music are just stupid. in my opinion.

If you want to get a job in high paying group or orchestra - this is also a business goal.

I'm talking from my own experience - I am amusician and fairly successful Network marketer.

In business I try to work with clearly defined goals, in music I mostly have only a daily goal - be better tomorrow than I am today.

If claycotton didn't inspire you with that you need professional help. He certainly got me off my butt. I'm off to FOCUS.

have you tried the eye exercise where you hold your thumbs together and concentrate on your thumbs while it goes a figure of 8. Make sure you only move your eyes but not your head. Works for me

Default Stinking Thinking

Often when I get to the place you are in, i realized that i have been engaging in stinking thinking.... things like "i suck" "i'm so stupid, how did i miss that?" "i can't even stand myself".... crap like that and it spirals my thinking and confidence downward...

so the solution is talk it up, know what you can do, appreciate yourself, treat yourself as you would a good friend, love yourself, know you can improve, and that this too shall pass!
