I'm one of the few (only?) silly ones trying to make an MLM system work with this course. I like the MLM model, because my purpose is not to get terribly rich, but to establish a (nearly) residual income so I can focus on my work as a missionary. I've started split testing different versions of my squeeze page, and do have a system where people are sent samples. I have control over that packaging, so I'm working on a letter/flyer to put in with the sample. My biggest challenge is traffic. My poor squeeze gets only about 5 views a day, and that's with PPC ads from no less than 3 PPC services. I realize this whole course is for people who have plenty of traffic. My general impression, after two years of trial and failure, is that I'm severely IM challenged. I feel like what I need in order to succeed is for some marketing coach to take me firmly by the hand and drag me until I've broken through this barrier. Perhaps I'll find someone like that here in this community, who's faith is just important enough to them to want to help in this way to facilitate church growth in Japan. Until then, or if not, whichever the case may be, I'll keep plugging away with my 5 views a day. I'm bound to find a tiny crack in the great wall between me and the rosy world of success sometime, and then I'll go looking for a chisle, but if I just walk away I'll never find it at all, so folks, I'm here for the duration! BUT....when your door opens, watch out. When Spirit says it is time, nothing can stop you. In the meantime, keep working on those cracks until they are huge portals. I feel like a newborn who does not even know how to feed. I am still learning the terminology and have much more to learn. I don't even know what I need or what the words are that I need to use to ask for help. Where could I go that I would be getting all the loving and considerate help in learning what it is I need to know? I do know that this community is something else. Something beautiful. Spirit is guiding all of us to be just where we need to be at just the right time with just the right people. Keep the faith and hang in there. __________________ Love and Light, Mary Grace | 10-20-2007, 09:36 PM | | | | Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Japan Posts: 32 | | Thanks, Mary Grace, Anyone else? | 10-24-2007, 03:47 AM | | Board Neophyte | | Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Casper, WY Posts: 41 | | acording to the Alexa toolbar stats Ganohealthycafe.net users come from these countries: Japan75.0% France16.7% Bulgaria8.3% there was no seperate data for your coffee. extension .net is probably hurting your traffic as well __________________ Eugene | 12-27-2007, 06:34 AM | | Community Angel (50+ Posts) | | Join Date: May 2006 Location: Folsom, PA near Philadelphia Posts: 77 | | NetWeb Marketing 2.0 Hi, Debbie, Check out the buzz on what Mike Filsaime and Dr. Ellie Drake are bringing to the Network Marketing Homebased Business industry. the report title is The Death of Network Marketing, followed up by The Birth of Network Marketing 2.0. The blog about it is: https://the-death-of-networkmarketing.com/blog/ where you can get more info. It brings a dimension to the network markeitng model that has bothered many who have tried and succeeded, tried and failed, been wooed by mlm's, and see the value of it but have not seen financial gain. So, keep fine tuning what you want to create and use all the tools you learn to do it. You are on your way.... Thanks for posting. I'd try spedning a fixed amount of time each week doing that, of course with your posts always containing your signature with link to your site. Have you tried doing any link exchanges? I see that your site has an Alexa Page Ranking of 3, so you must be doing something right. Also, I don't know how much you devote to your PPC campaigns, but if they are only netting you 5 views per day, you might consider some alternative uses of the PPC budget. For instance, could you spend an equivalent amount of $$$ in free coffee sent to specific celebrities in exchange for powerful testimonials? I'd see if I could contact people like Seth Godin, Guy Kawasaki, Mark Joyner and Tellman Knudson: as far as I know, all health conscious business successes who might be open to such an approach. What about a local news anchor there in Japan? Better yet, is Yumi Matsutoya still a huge singing star in Japan these days? Couldn't you try contacting her management and see if you could get some coffee to her people? Testimonials from even her crew, back-up singers, dancers or musicians would be the equivalent of getting testimonials from Janet Jackson or Madonna's people. That's some great keyword SEO stuff right there if you can get it. Last but not least is what about local cultural events where you are? Do they do Arts & Eats Street Fairs or the equivalent? See if you can get a small booth or tent at one of those events. Hand out small free samples and have your business cards or flyers with the web site address on them and get them in the hands of as many people as you can. So, those are just a few thoughts that immediately come to mind. I know you were talking about IM help in terms of coaching step by step but in lieu of that, see if some of my ideas above spur some thoughts and ideas for you. Mary, I've tried to get the death of MLM report, using about 6 different email addresses, but for some reason it just doesn't come in. I'll keep trying. | 01-24-2008, 07:52 PM | | Board Neophyte | | Join Date: May 2007 Location: Eumundi, Queensland, Australia Posts: 23 | | Quote: | Originally Posted by debbie_penner I'm one of the few (only?) silly ones trying to make an MLM system work with this course. Debbie | Debbie Maybe you could make money in a different way by 100 persent involved in your missionary work, blogs, newsletters, affliates. If that is your passion it will a lot more fun for you to tell others and involving others in what you do. Just a comment from left field. Submit to a few of the article directories. That will start you on the road to traffic. Also, write some articles about things revolving around the coffee - mugs for example - coffee pots - perk or drip - is tap or filtered better for making coffee - what is the difference between arabica and robusto beans - why do people like mc donalds coffee - scones with coffee - What is ganoderma and where does it come from - what is better, drinking coffee beans that have been flavored or adding a syrup to your coffee - etc. The articles will provide traffic to your site, back links, and will build your reputation as an authority on the subject. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -5.
