Salvatore Ferragamo Meets the Solar Future
I just got one of the coolest gifts ever ...

It's a Voltaic messenger bag that runs your gear on a solar panel. Your cell phone, your MP3 player - everything ... except your laptop. Sigh.
Still - that is cool. (Thank you to the even cooler Ric and Liz Thomspon.)
I say "cool" because I love tech toys, and I love just about anything related to alternative energy.
But cool to everyone? While I love my technogadgets I generally hide them at home - or inside something a little swankier, like my Salvatore Ferragamo messenger bag:

I love the idea of the solar bag. Love it. But I have to admit my urge to look cool in public will probably have me sporting my Ferragamo. (With a spare long-life battery, I get 10+ hours on my still-relevant Sony Vaio VGN S260, even if I'm charging my combination PDA/camera/mp3/phone - all fitting nicely into the messenger bag.)
There's nothing wrong with wanting sexy and cool stuff. But can't we marry up sexy and cool with freedom-enhancing future-tech?
I think there is a potentially huge market for gear that is sexy, but future-minded in a non-preachy way.
When are the Ferragamo bags with future technology coming out?
Anyone listening?
