So, You Think You're Ready?

I'm bringing back a few classic cartoons for a purpose ...

Remember that one?  It's the cartoon you guys gave the highest rating of the lot.  It wouldn't have been my choice, but I understand ...

See, my criticism in this cartoon is not so much about the woman refusing to apply what she read in that book. Don't get me wrong, she personally needs to take reasponsibility - no question, but those who conditioned her to react that way are not blameless:

1.  All the books she read up to that point that were filled with absolute nonsense.  Anyone, after acting upon serial-bad-avice might get a bit jaded.

2.  People telling her stuff like "it doesn't matter what you eat - just think happy thoughts and the quantum field will make you thin."  (yeah ...)

3.  All of the training programs out there that are difficult to understand and even more difficult to follow.

What do you think?

Before you go run off and discuss this with the rest of the gang, here's something else for you:

Simpleology 103: The Simple Science of Personal Energy.

Oh yeah - we released that two weeks ago now with very little fanfaire.  Why have we been quiet?

Well, the launch was about you - not about my ego - so we've been letting people know bit by bit to make sure we can keep improving things and serve you as best we can.   Go take a look and let me know what you think in the community.

More super cool stuff for you coming soon - here and in Simpleology.

And some shocking stuff that will tie all of this together in unexpected ways.

The thing is, if think this cartoon be an accurate depiction of reality there is more at play than the obvious. If the book that montage's character is stuck on- presumably a "manual"- were doing its job it would inspire this woman to change her actions and behavior. The question for me is, would someone actually be walking around reading a title like that be eating junk food? lost in the food court of the mall, bored and insatiable, I think she'd be talking on her cell phone or engaging in some other comfortable distraction. Most humans have an aversion to reminders of their shortcomings, fallibilities and imperfections.

I understand that the whole simpleology vibe is about pure action, but thought is action, and sometimes we have to re-format our deepest abuses and fascination with inflicting self misery (even if it is only through the vehicle of factory food). In the world of thought there is a space where faith and will hold court where personalities can be rewritten

Words words words, can make beleiveve any crap of it! ok I been sacarstic and lousy on spelling too. What I want to say really is Ho ha ! won't it be better on U tube . seems like reading crap is becoming obsolete! I know I can't digest the long page no more.
Rough ride but love you any way.
