Why do the Pooh-Poohers pooh-pooh?

Sometimes it's cognitive dissonance (they believe the Atkins Diet is the one-true-faith and just watched you lose ten pounds while eating fruit).

Sometimes it's jealousy (they actually don't want you to succeed or anyone else to think that you are succeeding).

Sometimes it's insecurity (underneath it all, they hate themselves, not you).

Sometimes it's done in the news for the ratings (the lowest part of us loves it - the Germans call that schadenfreude).
